The Franklin Community School Corporation requires all students who participate on an athletic team and/or a co-curricular/extra-curricular group to pay a yearly Transportation Fee. The Transportation Fee is used to help offset the corporation's costs for fuel and drivers.
Band and guard members who participate in the Marching Band/Color Guard (fall season) and/or the Indoor Drum Line/Winter Guard (winter season) are required to pay the fee. Students who only participate in concert ensembles (Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band) or in the Jazz Ensemble are NOT required to pay this fee. Students involved in other groups may also be required to pay the transportation fees for those groups. There is a cap per family on the transportation fee.
The Transportation Fee for high school students for the 2020-2021 academic year is $30.
The band booster organization includes this fee with the cost for Marching Band/Color Guard, Winter Guard, and Indoor Percussion. No other action is needed on your part.
