The Franklin Community High School Instrumental Music Department is a TWELVE-TIME recipient of the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) All-Music Award.

The Instrumental Music Department has received this honor for the 2022-2023, 2021-2022, 2020-2021, 2017-2018, 2016-2017, 2015-2016, 2014-2015, 2012-2013, 2011-2012, 2010-2011, 2009-2010, and 2008-2009 school years.

Band departments must meet each of following requirements to qualify for the award:

• receive a Gold Rating at an ISSMA Marching
      Band event,

• receive a Gold Rating at the ISSMA Organization        Festival,

• receive a Gold Rating at the ISSMA Jazz
      Festival, and 

• have at least one Group I soloist and one Group I
      ensemble qualify for State Solo and Ensemble        Contest.
